Christmas!!!

We had a really fun Chrismas. E opened her rocking horse and didn't want to open anything else. T opened each present and examined it, and Z ripped through all of his presents in record speed and then had nothing else to open. It was a full room at the in-laws, but we enjoyed it. I had told my hubby that E had been rolling out of bed at night and that was possibly the reason she was awake during the night. He said that wasn't the case but as we were lying in our camper she rolled out of her bed, not once, but three times. So for once I get to own the big I TOLD YOU SO!!!

T's Morning Musings

This morning while eating breakfast T and I had the following convo:
T:Do chickiens bathe themselves?
Me: Yes, they use their beaks and feet.
T:do they get their beaks and feet wet?
Me: Yes. Sometimes they use dirt to get the bugs off.
T: We should get a hen bath, they could push a lever.
Me: I don't know if they would like that.
T: Yeah, they would. They would take turns. One hen would go out and another big hen would go in.(waving arms dramatically)

Where do they come up with these things????

I love potty training!!!

It has been two weeks of doing laundry 2-3 times a day, clothes not staying on my little girl(we finally resorted to safety pinning her clothes on), diapers tossed out of the crib, anything you can think of she has tried. This photo was the last straw. You would think I could've guessed she was ready to potty train. Girls are so much easier than boys, except for the attitude involved! Notice the pile of clothes discarded off to the side.

Crater's pics

More pics.

Craters of the Moon!

So we decided we had go a use our camper as much as possible and we headed to Palisades. We camped in an old favorite spot Friday afternoon. It was great that first night but all that next day we had really loud atv's and motorcycles cruising by, kicking up dust and then just as I was settling into a nice nap the campers next to us decided to begin target practice that lasted all day. At about six that night Mark said he couldn't take it anymore and we left. Then we decided to go to Craters of the Moon. It was totally fun. I am not so hot at spelunking but the boys, especially T was really into it and they explored all of the caves. E and I did all but two and we took a nice three hour nap while the boys explored the two caves that apparently I wouldn't have even fit into! Mark said he got into one cave and they went exploring around and then he thought he knew where to exit and it wasn't the right exit he tried four or five other places and they weren't it either. The boys were starting to get a little nervous and then he could see some faint light coming from the right exit. That's what you get for squirming into little holes. Hope you enjoy the pics!

T's first day of kindergarten!

Here are Z and T ready to head out for their first day of school. T was so non-chlalnt about it all you would've thought he was heading out to do chores or something. When he got home I asked T what he did for his first day and he said he forgot. Then he said he lost the paper he was supposed to give me and when I asked what it was about he siad it was nothing important. Stellar beginning to his formal education. I'm just happy he didn't pee his pants at school today even though he did when he got home! Go figure.

This photo of the kids is of our short camping trip to Kelly Canyon. Then there is the two ponies we bought. The brown one is Mr. Goodbar, so named to give his some character according to my hubby. Notice that the pony almost looks like the perfect size for him, more so than his huge thouroughbred horse that is a monster. The little pinto is snickerdoodles and she is sweet. They are the newest additions to our family.

T is 5!

Isn't he cute! We had a fun birthday with presents and balloons and pizza. He has been playing his marble toy for days. This is his first year playing soccer, mostly he runs while telling the other players to run. He has fun and it's fun to watch.

Alaskan Adventure!

As you can see we caught a lot of fish, I caught two ducks, which Mark wont let me forget, but I did catch the biggest Silver Salmon! We played on the beach by my parents cabin and there was something creepy-crawly under every rock. We ate crab until we were stuffed, saw whales, bald eagles, the kids and Mark blazed new trails in the forest, it was a great time. Enjoy the photo's.

Lagoon 1 !!

We made a weekend trip to Lagoon with the extended fam. We had a ton of fun and I screamed so much I went hoarse! The wicked ride is awesome. Zach rode his first roller coaster and Tristan screamed with delight on anything he could ride. Evie sat with a dead pan face on all of the rides, but seemed to like them all the same. Our camper sprung a leak in many places and I think it's on it's last leg, no matter what my DH says. Enjoy the pics and don't forget to look at the lagoon 2 post.

Lagoon 2 !!

So much fun that he had to tape his own mouth shut from all the excitement.

Fort Bramwell

The kids and Dad threw this together in an afternoon. They were pretty excited to do it. We used some old lumber form our calf pens and so I told them to call it Cow Poop Fort but they didn't like that name.
